My hubby loves his family!!!!

Trav went last night to get our Valentine's presents. AJ wanted to stay up and wait sooo bad. She had her first grade choir program too so she was exhausted! He got home at about 10 but she was too tired.

For Stevie

For A.J.

For Me. I told him that doesn't he can get out of wearing his wedding ring. His ring will completely cover it when he has it on.

For people who have tattoos, you know how special it is to have someones name done. And for people who don't like tattoos, having a persons name done is a sign of the utmost love. He swore he was never going to get anyones name ever, but the kids just have that kind of effect on people!!!! Mine was a surprise though. I really didn't think he was going to do it.

My sewing

Teething ring made for my niece Taylor. I found this pattern on http://patchyapple.wordpress.com/ . I actually finished it awhile ago but I wanted to surprise her Mommy too. I made one out of all turtles for my son too but he took it before I could take a pic! I chose these fabrics because of our nicknames for our kids. Monkey for Tay-Tay, Ladybug for AJ and Turtle for Stevie. I plan to make more since they were so easy and so cute!!! One thing Im going to try is to have one ribbon elastic to hold a pacifier.

This is my Work In Progress quilt for my father-in-law. Its made using a easy pattern called Sticks and Stones that I tend to use alot. I chose 15 snack-themed fabrics. Its a larger quilt. Thats why its taking me longer to finish but it is a really fun one!!!

Happier Note...

I just realized my blog was a little depressing. In Kim's honor, I thought I'd post a pic to make people I love giggle. She loved to laugh and she loved Bubba. This is him saying I love you in Sign Language.

Catching up...

I havent written much for the simple fact that nothing really has been going on. Then all hell breaks lose and I have so much on my plate. My very very very good friend and neighbor, Kim, passed away after a very short battle of pnemonia. She was 29 and leaves behind a wonderful husband, Bryant, an 8 year old princess, Alyssa, and a fabulous 11 year old, Madison. Kim and I used to hang out together just about every night after we got the kids to bed. We would talk about everything. She loved having AJ come over everyday and would giggle when ever the baby would reach for her. I will miss her so dearly.

How could anyone resist this face?!

My baby lost her first tooth!!!

We are at our SuperBowl Party and AJ started snacking on apples. She took a bite and made a funny face. I asked her if she lost her loose tooth. ( BackStory: this tooth has been loose for over a year) She checked and said YES!! I got excited and said Let me see. She opens her mouth and it is full of ABC (already been chewed, for all you non-parents) apples! I told her I cant see anything, swallow your apple then Ill check. So my obedient (ha!) child did so. I checked and yep it was gone. Then someone said Well where is it? I was like oh crap, I told her to swallow. She swallowed her tooth also.

This morning she got VERY upset because the tooth fairy didn't leave her anything because of her tooth not being there. I told her too look in her pillowcase since that was where she use to leave her pacifiers. She came running back, happy that she had left $7. Needless to say, we started off the day on a good note!!!
