I had a wonderful photo shoot last night with the Forey twins. Those babies are so sweet. I got smiles from Brynlee and some cuddles from Chance. Here are some teasers their mom liked the most:

Quilt Festival and Dance!!

My friend Stephanie and I went the International Quilt Festival on Sunday and had the absolute most fun! This one was called OH MY GOSH, can you tell why?








AJ had her first Halloween Dance this weekend. A boy she has known since 18 months old came and picked her up. She picked flowers (weeds) for his mom! They had a Fear Factor...elementary school style! She tried blueberries and broccoli and got prizes for trying them!

I got a present in the mail!!!

A few months ago, I signed up for a Pay It Forward on a blog I stumbled across. After having a really rough week, look what I got in the mail!!!!

I recieved 2 handmade shopping totes, a small handmade envelope (I plan on using as a business card holder for my new business), a small bag that Im pretty sure my daughter is going to steal, and a lightweight scarf. I absolutely love scarfs but here in Houston we NEVER need them. This one I plan on wearing a lot and its blue so it matches my fave coat!!

Kaylon's 1st BDay - Teasers

Last weekend, I was officially hired to photograph a very close friend's son's first birthday. We had an amazing time and I took a lot of pictures. Im still in the process of editing but I know Mom can't wait that long!!

Newest Quilt block

Sunday we had Mommy Sew Day so I worked on my Drunkards Path pattern. It is suppose to be 12 of these blocks. After cutting for hours and hours, I decided to make a 4-square with a border. I was just about to give up on it because its just too hard and is taking way too much time for someone with ADD. Now after sort of finishing one block, Im really excited about it. Not to mention the fact that the colored fabric was donated by my Mother in laws BFF, Mrs. Patty and the light fabric was 50% off!!!

My Day

So last night I had a baby that sounded more like a barking seal sleep with me, needless to say I got NO sleep. After calling the doctor for 30 minutes, I asked Travy to go up there and set up an appointment. He goes up there and gets to see the Forey twins.

Im so jealous, I didn't get to cuddle with them!! I have to sit at work with a croupy little boy. And yes, Aimee and Melissa, Im sitting here pouting!!!!

The Best Husband

Travis went out with his cook-off friends last weekend and bought me this. It's called a Woozie. Its a wine glass koozie. He also wone a couples massage but I have to share it with his mom!!!

Quilt for Maddie Leigh

I finished this quilt a few months ago but couldn't post pictures since it was a gift. THEN I forgot to bring it to my cousin, Brooke's baby shower!! To my quilting friends: yes I asked my husband to turn around since we were only and hour and a half on the road, but he said no. Which brings us to now... Princess Brooke has had her beautiful baby, Maddie Leigh.

Miss Ramona helped me with the basic pattern in class. Since I finished early, I went ahead and added a one or two in inner borber and a four inch outer border. The other problem was that I bought all the material for the back according to the pattern. I didnt know I was going to add the borders. The ladies at Quakertown Quilts are always more that helpful so they suggested the middle strip in the opposite colors. For the label, I decided to add in my very beginning embroidery skills. Its not the best but it's in my handwriting which is pretty cool.

This quilt was probably the easiest pattern Ive used but it was definately the hardest to piece together. Overall, I am very proud of it and will probably make another in the same pattern.

Pics of the kids

Gone for awhile

As some of you may know, Last Friday I came down with a condition called Bell's Palsy. Theres is no absolute cause and no treatment. It has caused me to be temporarily paralysed on the left side of my face. This update will NOT have pictures!!! I am not in pain other than my eyes drying out since I can't blink. I am trying to stay positive about the situation even though it is becoming harder and harder everyday. I have talked to different people and read in different places about how long it should last. It could be weeks or even months. This is all coming just 2 weeks after having a severe kidney infection.

The other bad thing is it's really hard to take pictures since I cant really see out of my left eye. I would really go CRAZY if I cant take pictures of my kids. Stevie doesn't notice any difference and AJ is giving me advice on how to smile. Travis has been really good about not making fun of me even though I know it has to be really hard. Im sleeping in a pirates eye mask. Id make fun of me!!!

One thing Ive read is that it sometimes goes away just as spontaneously as it appears, usually overnight. Time will tell, I guess.

She was soooo excited about finally riding a bull!

Until it started moving, she was brave but wanted to get off so bad!!

She was so happy riding on her Daddy's shoulders!!

Once we got in the car, a friend gave Stevie a ball. He was so happy!!

Overall we had a really great time. AJ brought two friends and Travis' partner came with us. I started a new diet which was very hard to follow with Strawberry Shortcake and Divinity, but I didnt touch either!!!
